Karolinen, inspired by Vienna, the starting point of my journey, captures the essence of the city's striking Secession architecture. I was particularly drawn to the interplay between intricate decorative elements and expansive, unembellished surfaces found throughout many of Vienna’s buildings. This deliberate contrast not only enhances the ornamentation but also creates a refined sense of balance, a dynamic that became central to the composition of this piece.
