In response to the brief "Urban Nature," Think Inside the Box reflects the repetitive grid mass of a city, where each building and street follows a rigid pattern, creating a sense of uniformity and structure. The artwork captures the overwhelming and often impersonal nature of urban landscapes, where everything seems to be part of a larger, unchanging design. Amid this grid, a single, larger solitary square emerges, a symbol of sanctuary and respite, standing apart from the constant rhythm of the city. This square represents a place of escape, a personal space where one can withdraw from the noise and chaos of urban life. This was painted at a time just after the Covid-19 pandemic.
